small hamlet close to the village of Dunscore, which is a

bar and a play park. The Tower House provides an
ideal base for exploring the surrounding
countryside and for walking in Scotland's
southern uplands. For cyclists, the cottage is
perfectly located for 3 of the 7 Stanes mountain
bike centres. Nearby Thornhill, a beautiful
village, offers a number of shops and banks. The
larger town of Dumfries, is just
9 miles away and offers a wide range of
facilities including swimming pool and museums.
